LeadAbility Course

Celebrating 10 years of creating impact in the sector this year, LeadAbility is an entry level leadership Course for those with a disability, lived experience and/or supporting those with a disability, those working within the sector in disability organisations or in diversity and inclusion positions.

Taking place over 7 days across three months, LeadAbility is delivered in person in the CBD. It is designed to build your skills and enable you to become a more influential, confident and effective leader. The Course includes dynamic activities and Community Projects, focusing on understanding leadership, effective communication, teamwork, and community.

The Course is funded by the Department of Communities WA (Disability Services) so there is no cost to participate.  It is fully accessible, with assistance available for vision or hearing-impaired participants and/or other support as required. Carers and support animals are always welcome.

Learning Outcomes

• Understand personal values and vision
• Learn project scoping and management skills
• Explore learning, thinking and leadership styles
• Understand effective communication
• Develop the ability to work within teams
• Understand co-design and how to implement change
• Identify areas for change to achieve full citizenship
