Angie is an experienced Board Chair, Non-Executive Director and CEO whose career spans over 30 years as a health practitioner, senior executive, business owner, executive coach, and non-Executive Director in the Private, Public and For-purpose sectors. She is a passionate, values-driven leader who has developed and grown award winning enterprises that operate in local, national, and international markets. Her achievements in business, leadership and social enterprise are well recognised by industry awards and we are honoured to have leading our Board. 

Sam is the Chief Executive Officer of Western Power, a role he has held since 2022. He brings over three decades of senior leadership experience across a diverse range of industries. Sam holds a law degree from the University of Western Australia and began his career practicing law at top-tier firms, specialising in corporate law, energy and resources, and compliance and governance. After a decade in legal practice, he transitioned into the corporate sector, where he has held a variety of roles include executive roles spanning legal, operational and strategic leadership.

Sam is also a non-executive director of the Energy Networks Australia, and a Signature Program Alumni 2011.

Caroline has held senior roles within Private business and Government since 2003. In 2021 Caroline established her own Group of companies that now employ over 160 staff across a number of industries including childcare and disability services. Caroline Parry is an Audit and Risk Committee member for WA’s Mental Health Commission and former Chief Financial Officer for Gold Corporation.

Caroline has experience in financial management, governance controls, business transformation and technology. Caroline is a Graduate from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Christina Matthews is an experienced Board Director and Sports Executive who was CEO of WA Cricket from 2012 to 2024.

As CEO of WA Cricket from 2012-2024, Christina redefined the way WA Cricket approached its business, introducing a strong strategic focus, commitment to community engagement, restructuring to ensure resourcing aligned with the Association’s strategic objectives, and managing change to ensure a successful future for the organisation including moving commercial cricket from the WACA Ground to Optus Stadium and securing funding for the redevelopment of the entire northern side of the WACA Ground.

Christina currently sits on a number of Boards combining this with public speaking and cricket commentary roles. Her compassion and understanding drives a supportive culture and environment, with a focus on wellbeing and encouraging staff to reach their potential both personally and professionally.

In 2025 Christina became the 65th Inductee into the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame and in 2024 she was named Celebrate WA’s Western Australian of the Year (Business).

Following a business career that ranged from banking to renewable energy, Darrell moved to board roles with a community service focus. His experience includes ten years as a Councillor for the Shire of Mundaring, nine years as Board member with environmental management organisation Perth NRM, eleven years as a Board Member with the Metropolitan Cemeteries Board, and ongoing membership of the Mundaring Arts Centre Board.

As a Board Member, Darrell strives to build a purposeful and collaborative culture that encourages strategic creativity, innovation and engagement.

Darrell also teaches at Curtin University, giving the next generation of business leaders a solid grounding in Economics, Governance, Risk Management and Strategy.

Darrell holds qualifications in Economics, Marketing, Finance, and Tertiary Teaching. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK), and a Professional Member of the Economic Society of Australia.

Gabor is passionate about contributing to purpose-led and values-driven organisations. His mission is to bring commercial-sector standards of governance, leadership and capability building to the for-purpose sector, helping organisations meet the increasingly complex needs of the community.

Gabor brings practical and pragmatic Board experience across community and social services organisations operating in regulated and highly intersectional environments. He has a strong track record in strategy, governance, risk, funding oversight and CEO succession, supported by executive experience that helps him work effectively with management to balance mission delivery, financial sustainability and risk.

Mal is committed to transparent and accountable relational governance.

He is a lawyer and director of Neometric, a professional services firm that works alongside boards and executive teams to strengthen their alignment and create high trust frameworks for execution of shared purpose.

Mal draws on his experience of managing crisis and conflict as a dispute resolution partner in a global commercial law firm to strengthen relational ecosystems within complex and fast-changing environments.

Mal is a Fellow of Leadership Western Australia, having completed the Signature Leadership program in 2012, and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Jodi Cant is the former Director General of the Department of Finance in Western Australia, where she led Procurement, Buildings and Contracts, Major Projects and RevenueWA. Major infrastructure delivered under Finance included Optus Stadium, the WA Museum, the Women’s and Babies Hospital, Perth Film Studio and numerous primary and secondary schools across the State.

An experienced senior leader, Jodi has worked across government, start-up, private and not-for-profit sectors and is known for bringing people and organisations together to deliver complex initiatives and strategic reform.

Jodi holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Western Australia, is a member of Chief Executive Women (CEW) and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). An alumna of Leadership WA’s Signature Leadership Program (2007), she serves on the boards of Leadership WA, PeopleKind Group and the National Transport Research Organisation, and has previously served on the boards of PSMA Australia, PEXA Ltd, earthmine Australia and the IPAA Council.

Justin is Chief Operating Officer at WA Cricket and has also served as Interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer. 

A CPA with over 20 years’ experience in financial management and commercial operations, his career spans sport, retail and travel across Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

Having completed the Signature Leadership Program in 2023, Justin is closely aligned with Leadership WA’s purpose and impact. He brings strong expertise in governance, strategy and operational leadership, with a collaborative, community-focused approach.
