The Signature Experience
Signature is experiential leadership development Program that brings together high-performing leaders from across the private, public and for-purpose sectors, on an immersive 10-month journey to develop their own courageous, powerful and authentic leadership.
Created for leaders who are looking to strengthen their leadership and expand their understanding and peer connections across industries, sectors and disciplines, while also contributing to shaping a better Western Australia.
Participants will:
- Visit a range of organisations across the Perth metropolitan area for each Experience Day, where they see firsthand how different industries lead, operate and contribute.
- Travel to the north and south of the state on 3-day Field Trips, to gain a clearer insight into the issues, opportunities and challenges that face those living and leading in regional Western Australia.
- Hear from some of the State’s most experienced and insightful leaders.
- Examine leadership far beyond management or organisational thinking.
- Become part of a cohort of leaders from a diverse range of sectors, backgrounds, disciplines, industries and leadership experience, curated to create a learning environment rich in varied perspectives, styles and experience. One that can both challenge and inspire. One that can lead to new ways of thinking, a deeper sense of empathy and a greater appreciation of the innate differences in people, thought and approach. These connections are often enduring.
In Overview
The Program includes:
- Interaction and discussion on leadership with influential leaders from across the state
- PRINT psychometric testing and debriefing
- 10 Experience Days (and one two-day experience) which feature high profile speakers and in-depth explorations of key issues facing Western Australia.
- Behind-the-scenes visits to leading organisations
- 2 three-day field trips to regional Western Australia (transport, accommodation and catering included) to further explore regional issues and opportunities
- Residential opening and closing retreats (accommodation and catering included)
- Access to topical readings and resources
- Ongoing interaction with a strong network of diverse leaders
- 3 Executive Coaching sessions with an accredited Coach.
Outcomes
Through the experiential learning methodologies, guest speakers, visits to host organisations, exposure to diverse perspectives and collective peer learning, you will develop and enhance your ability in a number of areas.
Participants explore leadership through dialogue with a range of inspirational leaders who candidly share insights to their own experiences and challenges. They also share their own stories, difficulties and solutions in the safe space of their cohort, under the guiding principle of the Chatham House Rule.

Scholarships
The Leadership WA Foundation, in collaboration with our valued Partners, support a range of Scholarships for Signature, including for regional Participants. Please visit our Scholarship page for the latest information on the Scholarships available.
University Recognition of Prior Learning
Signature graduates may be eligible for university credit, advanced standing or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) towards MBA and related postgraduate business programs at Curtin University, Edith Cowan University, Murdoch University and The University of Western Australia.

Following Graduation. you’ll join a strong and influential network of over 1,400 Leadership WA Alumni.
Our Alumni come together regularly to continue to learn, share ideas, extend networks and give back, by contributing expertise and time to social impact activities across WA, as part of our Leadership WA Skillsbank Initiative.

- Selection to Signature is based on many factors, including your written application (which determines your invitation to interview) and your interveiw.
- We recommend you:
- Take the time to complete a comprehensive and engaging application, that reflects your own personal experience, insights and aspirations.
- Apply as soon as you have decided and/or been endorsed to participate in the Program:
- If we receive sufficient applications from outstanding leaders, who will collectively form a diverse and well curated cohort, we reserve the right to close applications earlier.
- Ensure you have the support of your Organisation and/or Board to participant in the Program, including their agreement to:
- Fund your place on the Program (Scholarship applicants excluded) by agreeing to pay the Organisation Fee (they may also pay the Personal Fee if preferred).
- Support the time you need to allocate to Signature – including by attending Experience Days (and ideally being offline) along with additional time ahead of and following each Experience.
