Scholarships

We offer a range of Scholarships to help make our transformational leadership development Programs accessible to those who may otherwise be unable to afford to participate. Scholarships are supported by our own Leadership WA Foundation, along with our supporters and Partners.

  • Available for the Signature and Rising Leadership Programs.
  • The option to select a Scholarship is part of the online application form.
  • Once selected, the Scholarship-specific questions will be including in your application.
  • Please see our current opportunities under each Program below.
  • Please note:
    • Leaders working in roles within state or federal government are ineligible for Scholarships (in most cases).
    • Travel support is only included where stated, otherwise it is the responsibility of the Participant.
    • For the purposes of the Scholarship, small to medium not-for-profits (NFPs) are considered to be those with an annual income of $20 million or less.

2025 Rising Scholarships

The following Scholarships are available for the June 2025 cohort of the Rising Leadership Program or download our Rising Scholarship flyer.

  • Leadership WA Foundation Scholarships | Supports the Organisation Fee, with the Personal Fee being the Participant’s investment in the Program. For leaders working in not-for-profit organisations (small to medium), small businesses or sole traders.
  • LeadAbility Scholarships | Supports the Organisation Fee, with the Personal Fee being the Participant’s investment in the Program. These Scholarships funded by the Department of Communities WA are open to leaders living with a disability, those who advocate for people with a disability, or who work within the sector, including in diversity and inclusion positions.
  • Lotterywest Community Leadership Scholarships (Metro & Regional) | Full Scholarships including both the Organisation and Personal Fee. Support for travel is also available for regional recipients. Supported by Lotterywest, these Scholarships are for leaders working in not-for-profit organisations (small to medium) in both metropolitan and regional WA.   • Mt Burdett Foundation Scholarships (Regional) | Full Scholarships including both the Organisation and Personal Fee (travel and accommodation are excluded, and form part of the Participant’s personal investment in the Program).
    The Mt Burdett Rural and Regional Advancement Foundation are proud to support regional WA leaders, including early and mid-career leaders living in regional Western Australia. To be eligible, participants must live and work in regional Western Australia, contribute to and be passionate about using their leadership to meaningfully impact their community.   • Construction Training Fund (CTF) Construction Sector Leaders Scholarships (Metro & Regional) | Full Scholarships including both the Organisation and Personal Fee. Support for travel is also available for regional recipients.Supported by the Construction Training Fund, these Scholarships are aimed at leaders actively working in the WA construction sector. The Construction Training Fund supports WA’s building and construction industry to meet its demand for skilled workers, while supporting the development of a modern and progressive building and construction industry. 2026 Signature Scholarships

Signature Leadership Program Applications will open in mid-2025,

The following are confirmed Scholarships for the 2026 Signature Leadership Program:

Leadership WA Foundation Scholarships | Includes the Organisation Fee, with the Personal Fee being the Participant’s investment in the Program.

For leaders working in not-for-profit organisations (small to medium*), small businesses or sole traders.

LeadAbility Scholarships | Includes the Organisation Fee, with the Personal Fee being the Participant’s investment in the Program.

Supported by the WA Department of Communities, these Scholarships are open to leaders living with a disability or who work within the sector, including in diversity and inclusion positions.

Lotterywest Community Leadership Scholarships (Metro & Regional) | Full Scholarships including both the Organisation and Personal Fee. Support for travel is also available for regional recipients.

Supported by Lotterywest, these Scholarships are for leaders working in not-for-profit organisations (small to medium*) in both metropolitan and regional WA.

GGA CBH Growing Leaders Scholarships (Regional applicants working within the grain growing industry) | Full Scholarships including both the Organisation and Personal Fee. Please note that any travel and accommodation required are the responsibility of the participant.

The GGA CBH Growing Leaders Scholarship Program supports two members of the Western Australian grain growing industry to undertake the Signature Leadership Program each year.T he Scholarship aims to build a pool of growers ready to take on leadership positions in the grain industry, within Grower Groups, and even at CBH, with a focus on building capacity. These Signature Scholarships are yet to be confirmed for 2026:

DLGSC Leadership in Culture and the Arts Scholarship

First offered in 2024, and generously funded by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, the ‘Leadership in Culture and the Arts Scholarship’ is aimed at supporting senior leaders who are employed by small to medium WA NFP, to enhance the impact of arts and culture in the State. (Please note that volunteer roles are not included in this Scholarship)

DLGSC Leadership in Sports and Recreation Scholarship

First offered in 2025 and generously funded by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, the ‘Leadership in Sport and Recreation Scholarship’ is aimed at supporting senior leaders who are who are employed by small to medium WA NFP, working to enhance the impact of sport and recreation in WA. (Please note that volunteer roles are not included in this Scholarship)

DLGSC Leadership in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD) Communities Scholarship

First offered in 2025 and generously funded by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, the ‘Leadership in the CaLD Communities Scholarship’ is aimed at supporting senior leaders who are who are employed by small to medium WA NFP, working to the benefit of culturally and linguistically diverse communities (CaLD) in WA. (Please note that volunteer roles are not included in this Scholarship)
