Angie is an experienced Board Chair, Non-Executive Director and CEO whose career spans over 30 years as a health practitioner, senior executive, business owner, executive coach, and non-Executive Director in the Private, Public and Not-for-Profit sectors. She is a passionate, values-driven leader who has developed and grown award winning enterprises that operate in local, national, and international markets. Her achievements in business, leadership and social enterprise are well recognised by industry awards and we are honoured to have leading our Board. 

Sam has held senior positions since the 1990s and has experience across a wide range of industries. He has a law degree from the University of Western Australia and, after spending a decade practicing law in top tier firms specialising in corporate law, energy and resources, and, compliance and governance, he moved into the corporate sector. He has held executive legal and operational roles.

Sam has extensive experience advising corporations and Boards, and brings a diverse range of technical and management experience in strategic leadership, government relations, stakeholder management, legal and financial regulation and governance, culture and change management, and safety and compliance.

Sam is also a non-executive director of the Energy Networks Australia, and a Signature Program Alumni 2011.

Caroline Parry is an Audit and Risk Committee member for WA’s Mental Health Commission and the former Chief Financial Officer for Gold Corporation, Western Australia’s third largest exporter by value. Her previous experience also includes 10 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Caroline is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Caroline’s experience includes financial management, governance controls, business transformation and technology as well as the embedding of environment, social and governance related policies and procedures.

Caroline is a Graduate from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science from the University of Western Australia, a Post Graduate Diploma in Chartered Accounting and a Cyber Security qualification from Harvard University. In Caroline’s spare time she is a facilitator and examiner for the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

In 2017 Caroline won the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand CFO of the year award at the 32nd WS Lonnie Awards.

Chris is a highly strategic and collaborative leader. In 2023, Chris founded Talent Horizon, to provide a range of advisory services to customers who are invested in developing their most important asset - their people. The business offers both consulting and advisory board services to a range of clients. Chris continues to build his non-executive and advisory reputation to complement his significant executive career.

Formerly the WA State Director of multinational FTSE listed company, Hays, he was responsible for the delivery of recruitment and advisory services to more than 1,000 employers in WA with a direct workforce of up to 130 direct staff and a further 2000 indirect contractors. Over the years, he has regularly featured in the media and contributed to various think tanks relating to ESG, diversity and inclusion and skills shortages.

As an AICD graduate and a Certified Advisory Board Chair, Chris serves on several external boards and advisory committees where he is able to govern and influence through his leadership experience, his commitment to building diverse and inclusive teams, and to advise on the future of work. He puts a particular emphasis on improving the lives of people with disability and has recently become an accredited para-athletics coach.

As CEO of WA Cricket from 2012-2024, Christina redefined the way WA Cricket approached its business, introducing a strong strategic focus, commitment to community engagement, restructuring to ensure resourcing aligns with the Association’s strategic objectives, and managing change to ensure a successful future for the organisation including moving commercial cricket from the WACA Ground to Optus Stadium.

Her focus has also included increasing philanthropic endeavours and partnership development, both within the sports industry and in other complementary businesses, to expand WA Cricket’s reach.

Christina previously held the position of Chair of Selectors for the Australian Women's Cricket Team and has mentored young sports women aiming to move into elite sport. Her compassion and understanding drove a supportive culture and work environment, with a focus on wellbeing and encouraging staff to reach their potential both personally and professionally.

Named the country’s most capped female Test player, Christina is the only woman in Australia to hold the position of CEO of a first-class cricket association.

Following a business career that ranged from banking to renewable energy, Darrell moved to board roles with a community service focus. His experience includes ten years as a Councillor for the Shire of Mundaring, nine years as Board member with environmental management organisation Perth NRM, and ongoing membership of the Metropolitan Cemeteries Board and Mundaring Arts Centre Board.

As a Board Member, Darrell strives to build a purposeful and collaborative culture that encourages strategic creativity, innovation and engagement.

Darrell also teaches at Curtin University, giving the next generation of business leaders a solid grounding in Economics, Governance, Risk Management and Strategy.

Darrell holds qualifications in Economics, Marketing, Finance, and Tertiary Teaching. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Professional Member of the Economic Society of Australia.

Gabor is passionate about contributing to the work of purpose led and values-based organisations. His mission is to bring the same level of governance, leadership know-how and management capability to the NFP sector as enjoyed by the commercial sector to meet the ever more complex needs of the community.

Gabor brings to NFP boards a comprehensive set of governance, strategy, risk management, financial sustainability, innovation and performance oversight. As the Vice Chair of Carers WA and member of its Finance Audit & Risk Committee, Gabor contributed to establishing the culture and strategic direction of this $25 million NFP dedicated to improving the lives of over 2 million carers across WA. Gabor oversaw the development of the governance framework of a consortia of service providers and steered CEO succession.

Grace Mugabe CPA, GAICD is an award-winning Money Coach, Workshop Facilitator and an Accountant with personality and sass.

Her organisation, Financially Empowered, specialises in narrowing the financial information divide that acutely impacts minorities.

In the years following the financial crisis, Grace walked away from a lucrative role in the mining sector to re-route her financial education and business development skills to help improve the earning potential & financial infrastructure of businesses & communities led by under-represented women & migrants. For this reason, she developed the Migrant Money Matters program.

She has courted governments, schools, community organisations & the private sector as some of her most ardent supporters & clients.

An avid champion for giving back to the community, Grace has sat on the board of the philanthropic fund 100 Women, Business Station and Ishar Multicultural Women's Centre, where she also chaired the Audit & Finance committee, that she helped in setting up.

Grace has previously been cited on media outlets such as Channel 7, Channel 9, 6PR Radio & the West Australian as a financial literacy and budgeting expert. She is known for her ability to connect, engage and contribute greatly to her clients. 

Karen was appointed to the role of Director General at the Department of Training and Workforce Development in December 2021 after holding Executive Director roles in Policy, Planning and Innovation and Service Delivery.

Karen has more than 30 years of public sector experience in a range of portfolio areas including vocational education and training, education and justice. She has expertise in labour market and educational research, program and policy evaluation, strategic policy and planning, legislative reform and service delivery.

Karen graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours in Psychology) and completed a Graduate Certificate in Management from Curtin University.

Mal is committed to transparent and accountable relational governance.

He is a lawyer and director of Neometric, a professional services firm that works alongside boards and executive teams to strengthen their alignment and create high trust frameworks for execution of shared purpose.

Mal draws on his experience of managing crisis and conflict as a dispute resolution partner in a global commercial law firm to strengthen relational ecosystems within complex and fast-changing environments.

Mal is the Board Chair of Riverview Church, and recently concluded 6 years as the Board Chair of Shenton College.

He is a Fellow of Leadership Western Australia, having completed the Signature Leadership program in 2012, and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
