On 23 July, the 2020 Signature Program cohort spent the day in the magnificent Heath Ledger Theatre in the State Theatre Centre, focusing on culture and the arts in WA.

Alec Coles, CEO of the Western Australian Museum, shared the vision behind the creation of our amazing new State Museum and how aspiration, patience, belief and persistence can achieve wonderful things.

The cohort also heard from Bourby Webster, CEO and Founder of Perth Symphony Orchestra, who inspired with her passion for music. She told the story of how she created a world-class orchestra aimed at truly connecting the WA community with the joy of music. In an amazing surprise, Bourby introduced Inneka, a phenomenal electric string quartet, for an exclusive live performance. WA art and music at its best!

Thank you also to the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries for hosting the experience.
