The Gender Equity in the Workplace event brought together a panel of inspiring leaders, actively implementing cultural change from the top down to improve gender equity.

This thought-provoking panel discussion covered the power of language in raising awareness of gender issues; the importance of advocating equality for men and women, as humans; the role of sponsors in redressing the gender balance; and the importance of instigating systems which ensure that gender equity policies are set for success.

As Australia fell to 50th in the World Economic Forum’s Global Gender Gap Index (GGGI), we were privileged to facilitate such a critical conversation amongst Leadership WA Alumni. Making gender equity a priority is a responsibility for all of us.

Thank you to panellists Gail McGowan, PSM, Strategic Advisor at the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage; Nic Fairbank, CEO of Programmed; Chris Hall AM, CEO of Juniper and Facilitator Tania Cecconi, 2019 Alumna of Leadership WA’s Signature Leadership Program, CEO of CEOs for Gender Equity Inc.
