Leading for Sustainable Organisations workshop
20 March 2025
Leading for a more sustainable world is more critical than ever, and the Alumni who attended our Leading for Sustainable Organisations workshop on Tuesday, 11 March are now far better equipped to do just that.
Kylie Hansen, Impact Seed Founding Director, and Katie Williams, Just Progress Director took the Alumni on a deep dive into embedding sustainability into their strategies, policies and reporting at this morning’s insightful Leadership WA Alumni event, kindly hosted by Aurecon.
Alumni considered how to move organisations from a merely check-box approach to genuine, meaningful and impactful leadership and action in this space, as well as what does (or should) ESG mean?
Kylie and Katie led an insightful discussion on “the power of leading with a social conscience” as well as “the importance of ‘long-termism’ in our thinking in order to create sustainable change and impact.”
They guided attendees on their first steps towards practical action plans for their organisations, tailored to help gain buy-in for sustainability at every level—plans that “move beyond obligatory compliance reporting towards meaningful strategy and impact.”
Opening the floor to the attendees brought forth fantastic insights from a range of industries and backgrounds, with Alumni building upon one another’s experiences to work towards a greater understanding of social conscience and measurable sustainability together.
Our thanks to Signature Program Alumni Julie Harrison (Signature 2014) for hosting this event at Aurecon – it’s this support that allows us to continue providing amazing leadership-focused events for our Alumni, partners, and friends.
