Leadership in health

On 14 August 2020, the Signature Leadership Program experience was at the amazing Telethon Kids Institute, a WA institution that has achieved so much to improve the lives and health of children.

Mental Health expert Tasha Broomhall gave the cohort valuable guidance on mental health for self and for others, a critical leadership attribute. She also pressed the importance of engaging in honest conversations about each other’s mental health.

Telethon Kids Institute Executive Director Jonathan Carapetis shared his personal leadership journey and learnings along with insights into the Institute’s amazing work.

The cohort also spent time exploring what they felt were significant considerations for health in WA, delving into FIFO mental health, traditional medicine, infant health, burden of disease and broader community mental health.
