Grace Mugabe appointed to the Board of Leadership WA

We are delighted to announce that Grace Mugabe (Rising 2016), Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Financially Empowered, has been appointed to the Leadership WA Board.

An Accountant with a passion for improving the earning potential of businesses led by under-represented women and migrants, Grace is an accoladed young leader in the Western Australian community. As a Board Director, Grace brings her fervent community focus and financial acumen, all while understanding the offerings of Leadership WA from the Alumni perspective.

“I am extremely pleased that Grace has accepted the appointment. Grace’s diversity of perspectives, resounding financial expertise across sectors, and experience as a young leader in the Western Australian community, will greatly complement the current Board composition” said Gail McGowan, Acting Chair of the Leadership WA Board.

Above all, Grace operates with a commitment to championing community, aligning with Leadership WA’s values. She has held a range of not-for-profit Board positions, including the philanthropic fund 100 Women, Business Station and Ishar Multicultural Women's Centre, where she supported the infrastructure for and Chaired the Audit and Finance Committee.

“I’m extremely honoured to be joining the Leadership WA Board of Directors. As a past Rising Leadership Program participant, I have first-hand experience of the invaluable work that the organisation is doing in building the capacity of leaders in Western Australia. I look forward to bringing my commercial acumen, networks and diverse perspective to support Leadership WA in continuing to thrive and empower WA leaders” said Grace.
