On 9 and 10 July 2020, our Signature Leadership Program heard from a great range of speakers on the topics of ethical leadership and resilience.

On 9 July, participants heard from Dr Anne Schwenkenbecher, Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at Murdoch University; and Christina Matthews, CEO, Western Australian Cricket Association. Dr Schwenkenbecher spoke about the challenges and importance of ethics in leadership. Christina’s insights inspired and challenged the cohort to really consider the choices we choose to take or create as leaders.

On 10 July, Chris Kent, State Director Hays Recruiting; and Michelle Andrews, Director-General of the Department of Communities, shared personal accounts of leading through challenging situations and the depth of thinking required to navigate through successfully. Both participants and staff felt privileged to hear such extraordinarily honest stories at these sessions, and to have the opportunity to listen, learn and apply them to our own thinking.
