"There is always diversity, but what we should be asking and talking about is inclusion. Inclusion is the responsibility of every single one of us."

In September, our Rising Leadership Program heard from Fadzi Whande, Principal Consultant Diversity and Inclusion, Western Power. Fadzi spoke to the cohort about diversity and inclusion, and the difference between the two. Fadzi shared that we need to have dialogue rather than debate on these issues, but many of us don’t have the language to talk about it.

The cohort is also exploring the contributions which can be made by those who have “failed”. What judgements do we make about failure? If we really were upset by someone’s failure, would we listen to them? How biased are we when it comes to who we believe are leaders and why we should listen to them?
