2025 Signature Leadership Program - Opening Comparison Survey

The paper “Leadership at Work: do Australian leaders have what it takes?” released in 2017/2018 identified several important areas of skills and knowledge that future leaders need “…if Australia is to maintain national competitiveness and generate growth and jobs…and navigate through a phase of increased uncertainty and ambiguity, disruption and change”.

Prior to attending your Opening Retreat, we invite you to evaluate yourself against the five main areas identified in the report.

Throughout the year, you will be able to re-visit this self-evaluation to see how you have grown during the Program.

Below is a definition of the five skills and knowledge identified and under each is a scale of 1 – 20, where 1 is “I am not good at this” and 20 is “I excel at this and am the best ever”.

Collaborative – able to work with others and make decisions which involve other people’s points of view; to achieve outcomes as a group or team which involves all; to lead in a harmonious way towards a future goal(Required)

Team building – do you know how to create, develop and maintain a high performing team? What is the culture like in your team? How aware you are of the make-up and profile of each team member(Required)

Communication skills – your ability to keep your team, your manager, your clients, up to date with what is happening, ensuring that people are clear about what is required of them (this means you have not just communicated the message, but you have also checked for understanding on their part), and also that communication back to you is open and clear(Required)
